In 1984 The Gluons had a lineup change. Drummer Brian Taylor was added and current singer Mike Means added keyboards making the sound heavier and dark.Their new sound attracted the attention of British producer John Brand who had just finished projects with The Cult and The Waterboys. Armed with 8 new tracks and a new name Blue Hollow spent the summer 1985 recording their new album Stealing A Whisper.
